Hindu Mauritian Sabha (UK) puts on its festival year in Epsom — Diwali, Independence Day, Maha Shivaratree, Navratri, and the rest of the hosted calendar. We welcome families from Sutton, Kingston, Croydon, Wimbledon and the towns around; the hall itself is always here.

Coming from nearby

There is no separate HMS (UK) night in Sutton or Croydon. If you live in the towns around Epsom, this is your hall — a short train, bus or drive.

Closest

  • Ewell

    The hall sits on Kingston Road (the A240) at the West Ewell / Epsom border, so Ewell is the nearest neighbour. Ewell West station, then a short bus or taxi along Kingston Road, is the usual approach if you are not driving.

  • Worcester Park and Stoneleigh

    A few minutes by car down the A240. Worcester Park station is a straightforward rail option, then a short bus or taxi south towards Epsom. Stoneleigh is equally close — an easy evening hop.

  • Chessington

    Follow the A243 onto Kingston Road. It is a simple drive, and you are coming in along the same road as the hall. Allow extra time on festival evenings when the car park fills.

  • Cheam and Ashtead

    Cheam is a short run via the A232 into Epsom, then north on Kingston Road. From Ashtead, come up the A24 into Epsom town and continue towards Ewell — ten minutes on a clear evening.

A short hop

  • Sutton

    We welcome a great many families from Sutton. Train to Epsom or Ewell East, or drive the A232. You are coming to Epsom for the gathering — there is no separate Sutton event.

  • Kingston, Surbiton and New Malden

    The A240 runs south from Kingston along Kingston Road and past the hall. Buses along this corridor are the simplest public option. New Year’s Eve is the other direction: Crowne Plaza in Long Ditton, not this hall.

  • Banstead and Leatherhead

    From Banstead, drop into Epsom on the A240 or through town. Leatherhead connects on the A24 to Epsom station, then a short hop to Kingston Road. Both are an easy evening’s outing.

A little further

  • Croydon

    A little further, but a familiar journey for many of us: train towards Epsom, or drive via the A232. We are glad to see Croydon families — the celebration itself is always in Epsom.

  • Wimbledon

    Train via Wimbledon to Epsom (South Western), or drive down through Merton and Sutton. Allow 30–40 minutes. Same honest note: we do not put events on in Wimbledon; we put the kettle on in Epsom.

Nearest stations

  • Epsom

    South Western and Southern services. Taxi or a local bus north towards Kingston Road / Ruxley Lane.

  • Ewell West

    Often the closest rail for the hall — then a short bus or taxi along Kingston Road.

  • Tolworth

    Useful from Kingston and Surbiton. Continue south on the A240 to the hall.

  • Worcester Park

    A good approach from the north; bus or taxi down Kingston Road towards Epsom.

Parking

There is parking at and around the hall. On busy festival evenings please arrive a little early and park considerately for our neighbours on Kingston Road.

Buses and access

Local buses run along Kingston Road (the A240). The hall is on one level from the Kingston Road side. If you have access questions before a particular evening, message us on WhatsApp.
